How it works

Five steps to a new chapter

Start small. A handful of committed members and one supportive teacher is enough.

  1. Step 1: Find a faculty sponsor

    Most schools require a teacher or staff sponsor for student organizations. Ask a teacher who cares about economics, business, math, or personal finance.

  2. Step 2: Recruit interested students

    Start small. A handful of committed members is enough to run meetings and grow from there.

  3. Step 3: Use the FLC Academy curriculum

    Run meetings around FLC Academy lessons, calculators, and discussion questions. No finance background required.

  4. Step 4: Register your chapter

    Your faculty sponsor submits the chapter interest form below. We'll follow up with next steps.

  5. Step 5: Join competitions and events

    Participate in the FLC Financial Challenge and connect with other chapters.

Does it cost anything?
No. The FLC Academy curriculum and tools are free for every chapter.
Do members need a finance background?
No. The courses start from the basics. Curiosity is the only requirement.
Who should submit the registration form?
The faculty sponsor. That keeps student contact information out of the process and makes sure your school is on board.
What does a chapter actually do?
Most chapters meet regularly to work through lessons together, discuss real-world money questions, use the calculators, and prepare for the FLC Financial Challenge.
